The application was for 102 residential units for local developer Storey Homes Limited, on land abutting existing residential developments in Wavendon and Woburn Sands, east of Milton Keynes, situated on the eastern edge of Milton Keynes, on land formerly designated for the long-term expansion of the town (the South East Strategic Development Area (SESDA).

The principle behind the development has been to create a community which will blend seamlessly with the existing village, and which will continue the form of development found there.  House types have purposefully been kept large, and densities relatively low, in order to achieve this.  The application also aspires to raise the quality of development within the village, by providing an imaginative layout featuring roadside public open space and a ‘home zone’ feel to the layout of homes and treatment of roads.
