Traditionally re-development of such sites with run-down barns has been total demolition and disposal of all materials off site. ‘Metamorphosis’ eschews this action in favour of total re-cycling of all materials on site.
Via an audit of all materials on site including the woodland, it is possible to deconstruct and reconfigure the materials into a unique rural residence that has a reduced impact upon its setting and the environment. Exceeding the criteria of Paragraph 55 of the National Planning Policy Framework.
Careful analysis of the site morphology and topography has been conducted to maximise the site potential and enhance the unique setting. Views throughout this site are maximised via the large open areas of glazing. Internal and external spaces interrelate with the garden based setting.
