Careful siting and orientation ensured that large picture windows to the south and roof lights to the north delivered maximum light penetration into all living spaces.
An integrated air source heat pump ensured a sustainable heat source for radiators and under-floor heating with minimal dependence on non-renewables. A rainwater harvesting system was installed for limiting water usage of the mains supply.
